Utility area - The customer had already purchased a range of IKEA kitchen units. I assembled and installed the units, first constructing a timber sub-frame to accommodate the existing pipework running behind them and ensure a secure, level fit. July 2026
Garden fencing: The existing rotten fencing was carefully removed before approximately 30 new fence posts were installed. Each post was treated below ground level for added durability and securely set in Postcrete. Once the framework was in place, the rails and palings were fitted, with the tops trimmed using a circular saw to create a clean, straight finish. August 2025
Loft hatch removal: The client wanted a redundant loft hatch removed to create a seamless ceiling. After carefully removing the existing hatch and surrounding timberwork, new plasterboard was cut and fitted to the opening. Joint tape and primer were applied before the area was skimmed and blended into the existing ceiling, leaving a smooth, seamless finish. November 2025
Shelves: These shelves were made from three used scaffolding boards during a kitchen renovation. The boards were cut to size, before being sanded using multiple grades of sandpaper, and finished with wax. The shelving brackets were painted and secured to the wall before the boards were attached.
Garden The decking was repaired and re-oiled, fencing was repaired and the lawn re-seeded and improved with top soil. I also relayed the patio stones and filled with fine gravel for better drainage. The flower beds were improved with compost and top soil, and plants added.
Iron radiators: These Victorian radiators were covered in years of rust. The rust was removed with a selection of wire brushes and wire wool. To retain and preserve the iron, beeswax was rubbed over the iron.
